More than 130 puppetry-based films and plays were submitted to the event by the deadline.
Most of the works are from Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Armenia, India, Russia, Greece, and Brazil.
The festival is reviewing the submitted works and would invite the best plays to take part in the upcoming edition of the event.
The 19th edition of Tehran-Mobarak will kick off on October 14 and run until October 22.
The festival aims to pave the way for the quantitative and qualitative growth of puppet shows, and to create a platform for exchanging experiences.
